Ian Mcdonald is a good author, and the world he builds in this book does suck you in. It tells a story from three different perspectives. One, a world that could be our own, another what seems to be the past, and finally a near future that doesn’t seem so far away. Sadly, I didn’t really like this book much. Probably because I didn’t like any of the three characters that he used. So even though the story was well put together and flowed, it just never appealed to me.
