I liked it. The details of the sword making and the siege of the City were interesting. And the actions of the characters and battle scenes were very realistic. Though it did remind me of Parker’s other series (The Engineer) that I read a few years ago. So some of it felt like I was re-reading portions of that series. Which is ironic since the Engineer series was written after this one. It was only chance that caused me to read it before this series. Still, I liked the book and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
