Really enjoyed this book.
It’s a pretty typical Parker story. A bad situation forces the main character to leave. He then takes extreme measures to solve the problem from his point of view.
Most of Parker’s books end badly with no real “Happy” ending. The extreme measures the main characters take have a tendency to leave them and those around them worse off than they were before. This book had some of that. The main character is not satisfied with his revenge/justice, and seems to lose interest in life once his actions are over. The difference is that in this story most of those around him actually ended up better off as a result. So the over all tone of the book is a little less dark than most of Parker’s other stuff.
